Description
Quinault Strawberry will grow to be about 12 inches tall at maturity, with a spread of 24 inches. It grows at a fast rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 10 years. This is a self-pollinating variety, so it doesn’t require a second plant nearby to set fruit. These large, soft, and sweet berries are best for fresh eating, jams, jellies, cooking, or baking. This plant will grow 2 large crops each year. Quinault strawberries are heart-shaped and beautiful deep red. They can grow up to 2 inches in diameter, which is quite large for a strawberry! Unlike most everbearing varieties, they produce vigorous runners. Normally its recommended to trim the runners to encourage berry production. Don’t trim the runners off of this variety though! The unrooted runners will produce loads of large, sweet berries if left to their own devices.
Great in the garden or in a container.
You can expect a yearly crop of 200 plus strawberries from a single plant of Quinault strawberries.
Strawberry plants will ship in Mid March, as temperature allows.
